The Kiryandongo / Bweyale area serves to town councils of Bweyale TC and Kiryandongo TC which comprise of Kiryandongo district offices and covers a total area of 62Km. With 918 customers, we serve 50% of the populations’ water needs. Our area offices are located on Diika Rd, 0.8km from Gulu Highway Rd, P.O. Box: 92, Bweyale, Tel: +256 751117740. Water source and infrastructure

The area operates four boreholes i.e. three are in Bweyale town and one in Kiryandongo town council. The water production capacity is 442m³/day and the water capacity utilization is 70%.

Water Supply Status

The average hours of supply per day are 22 hours/day. To cater for interruption in supply, the Area has three reservoirs, these are Bagdad (200m3), Central reservoir (50m3) and Kiryandongo reservoir (60m3). The source of energy for water production is Hydro power and Thermal power (Generators).

This water is supplied to our customer base which comprises 880 active, 38 inactive. These are broken down into consumer categories which are Domestic Customers(587 accounts), Commercial Customers (221 accounts), Institutions (61 accounts) and Public Stand posts (49 accounts). From these customers, the area bills and collects 29,294,390 Excluding Vat.
