Water Sources and Infrastructure

The raw water is abstracted from River Mpanga and treated at Kabundaire by Treatment Process. The water production capacity is 2,850m³/day on average and the water capacity utilization is 83%.
At the water treatment plant, the raw water goes through the Sedimentation, Aeration, Filtration and Disinfection before pumping it to the reservoirs for distribution.
Kibiito-Rubona Branch abstracts raw water from River Yerya and treated at Katebwa by Treatment Process. The water production capacity is 350 m³/day and the water capacity utilization is 90%.
